Armina Darbinyan: Adoption of H.Res.252 is more important for the United States than for Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS: That the Armenian Genocide Resolution, H.Res.252, has not yet been involved in the agenda of the U.S. Congress, is a consequence of wish of the United States not to spoil the relations with Turkey, Regional Director of the Armenian Assembly of America Armina Darbinyan told today journalists, pointing out that irrespective of it, the resolution will be involved in the agenda, and no matter it will be brought to a vote or not, they will continue struggling and working purposefully.

According to Armina Darbinyan, the adoption of the Armenian Genocide Resolution is more important for the very United States and President Barack Obama than for Armenia. “If the USA is considered a country following the principles of human rights and democracy, then this must stem from the framework of their interests. Barack Obama has stressed this during his pre-election campaign,” Mrs. Darbinyan said.
