Mass media discusses the materials placed in Wikileaks

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS: German “Spiegel” magazine has gathered a group of experts to study the secret documents appeared in Wikileaks site. Blogger, expert Karen Vrtanesyan told Armenpress that the materials can hardly be disinformation, taking into consideration the circumstance that the main suspect of spreading of the news – Bradily Manning, has already been arrested. The latter declared this July that there are always diplomatic scandals where there is the American party.

Mr. Vrtanesyan said that in interpreted materials especially the documents are noteworthy, which prove about the confidential hearings by the USA and about accumulation of personal information.

From 250 to 300 thousand confidential documents have found place in Wikileaks website from November 28, which contain interpreted materials from different American diplomatic missions, including, from the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan, in which there are details on the conversation of Under-Secretary for Political Affairs Bill Burns and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. In the document Ilham Aliyev refers not only to desirable international pressures on Armenia within the framework of the Minsk group, but to the propagating activity implemented by Iran in Azerbaijan as well.

In one of the letters the U.S. diplomat writes: “Aliyev distinctly mentioned that he does not approve the activities of Erdogan government, pointing out the ‘’naivety” of their policy and the failure of initiatives.”
