YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS: Withdrawing Armenia from the list of dangerous enemies of Turkey is exceptionally a PR action, political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan said at a news conference today, adding that with it Turkey wants to show the international community that it really wants to restore relations with Armenia.
By the way, Mr Melik-Shahnazaryan suspects that Armenia was in the list of the dangerous enemies of Turkey as the strategic document of that country has always been kept secret. “The existence or non-existence of any state in the list was made known through information leak via mass media. Once in five years leaks on which states appeared in the list and which are withdrawn occur,” he said. Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan noted that following the updates it may be concluded that this time Armenia was not in the list either as a danger, or threat or an ally.
“It is strange that this time Armenia’s name was voiced. This step is a PR action with which Turkey wants to show its priorities in the region,” the political analyst said.
The latter said if Turkey really wants to improve relations with Armenia without pre-conditions, Armenia will agree to it.
