Seyran Ohanyan: RA Armed Forces to continue imposing peace

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS: Azerbaijan’s war rhetoric is not new to us, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said in an interview to the Armenian Public TV, commenting on the statements of the Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev at the funerals of the Azerbaijani saboteur.

“They had better control the service on their front line for such “unaccomplished” saboteur not to cross the line of contact and try to launch subversive activity. It’s strange to us how Azerbaijan imagines our peaceful coexistence after honoring the saboteurs as heroes,” Seyran Ohanyan stated.

He assured that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia will continue imposing peace on the enemy to have “such statements remain just statements.”

Seyran Ohanyan also referred to the tragic incidents registered in the RA Armed Forces. “I do not want to say that such incidents occur in all the armies of the world, I just want our compatriots to know that during these losses we feel pain first, we are the first to be concerned of. We keep in touch with the parents, sympathize them, and I think we have a lot to do in this direction. We share the concern of the people if it is constructive and not directed toward dishonoring the army or politicization of this or that issue,” he said. The minister said serious work is being carried out to bring the flaws to minimum.

Referring to the fall draft, he pointed out that the right staff policy is very important for its correct organization. He said some commissioners have been dismissed from office.
