YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS: The elections in Artsakh have passed thousand times more democratically than the yesterday’s parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, chairman of the defense, national security and home affairs standing committee of the NA Hrayr Karapetyan said, adding that the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan passed with a number of violations.

Only the fact that the elections in Azerbaijan are by 100% majority means that democracy is not ensured in the parliament. “Currently we know only official viewpoints of observing missions: the first one is the delegation of Conference of Turk Speaking Countries who could not have consider the elections in Azerbaijan not democratic and the second one is the CIS observing group the position of which is not yet final,” Karapetyan said, expressing hope that currently silent international establishments will give worthy and unbiased assessment to the elections in Azerbaijan.
