Gagik Harutyunyan says the Azerbaijanis lost their trust toward own country

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS: The Azerbaijanis have lost their trust toward their own country and together with the reduction of oil stores they do not see any prospect of development in their country, director of “Noravank” scientific-educational center Gagik Harutyunyan said today at a news conference, referring to the number of Azerbaijanis participated at yesterday’s parliamentary elections in their country. He said as compared with previous ones the number of participants decreased by 15% making 50%.

“Taking into consideration the technologies being used in Azerbaijan, we may be sure that the real number of participants does not exceed 30-35%,” the director of the foundation said, considering strange the indifference of opposition displayed during these elections.

Gagik Harutyunyan said though the final results of the elections are not ready yet, it is already clear that 70 people from the “Yeni Azerbaijan” ruling party have already became parliamentarians, including first lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva.
