Ani included in the list of eliminating monuments of the world

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS: About 20 historic monuments, including the ones of Ani, are registered in the list of monuments that appeared on the edge of elimination.

The report published by the Global Heritage Fund and entitled “Protect our Eliminating Heritage” registers that the cause of elimination of one of the remarkable monuments in Ani – the Ani Main Temple – is the ineffective policy of Turkish government as well as extended hooliganism of finding historic samples in Ani for selling them.

It is noticeable that Turkey is the first in the list with the indifference toward historic cultural heritage and with the index of riskiness of the annually visiting tourists. Turkey’s index in that list is assessed as critical.
