Production volume of “Armenal” foil rolling mill grown 20 times

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS: The production volume of “Armenal” foil rolling mill has grown 20 times. During the 10 years 100 thousand ton products have been produced. “Armenal” is one of the biggest production facilities in Armenia and is the only producer of aluminum foil in the Caucasus and Central Asia Regions. The mill was integrated into United Company “Rusal” in 2000.

The main part of the product of “Armenal” – almost the 65%, has been produced after complex equipment of the mill. Press Secretary of “Armenal” Alexander Melkumyan told Armenpress that the investments of “Rusal”, which exceed the 100 million USD, have allowed “Armenal” to elevate the production volume to a new level.

The geography of realization of “Armenal” has been essentially expanded. “Armenal” is one of the main exporters of Armenia and occupies a leading position on the line of revenues received from realization of product. The product is supplied to consumers of 20 countries. The main markets of realization are the Northern America, Europe and Near East. The factory’s product is competitive and is demanded by the consumers of Europe, America, and Near East.

Currently “Armenal” faces such issues as further increase of productivity, improvement of the quality of its products, growth of financial and economic indexes.
