YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS: RA President Serzh Sargsyan awarded prizes, orders, medals and honorary ranks to a number of state and military officials, as well as workers of scientific, educational, cultural spheres, on September 21 – the 19th anniversary of RA Independence – at the presidential residence.
The President congratulated the awardees and wished them happiness, health and vigor to gain new achievements, which will be for the homeland’s special benefit.
‘Award ceremonies are usually being held within the framework of holiday ceremonies; holidays are a good opportunity to address words of evaluation and appreciation to those, who deserve our every-day attention, who do their work diligently, who make our society advance.
We always say that the human being is the most important value for us, and I want to add that the most important value for us is the honorary human, who exercises his responsibilities diligently. We are grateful to those, who do their work diligently, humbly, with talent and sense of responsibility. Maybe in many cases those people are not given the appraisal they deserve, but, in general, one’s good and diligent work cannot remain unappreciated,’ the President said.
He congratulated on the 19th anniversary of RA Independence and mentioned that events for the 20th anniversary are expected.
‘No doubt, it is a young age for a state, but at the same time it is obliging. A lot has been done in this period, but it is evident for all of us that there are a number of things to do. I am sure we will manage to solve all the issues, our statehood and state face, in assistance with you, with participation of honorary and talented individuals. We do not avoid challenges, as avoidance would mean surrender. We do not belong to that type,’ the President added.
Murad Muradyan, who was awarded with the Mesrop Mashtots Order for age-long and diligent state-public activities, expressed his gratitude to the President and mentioned that it is quite important and obliging, when one’s activities are highly appreciated.
‘On this desired day I want to congratulate all of us and wish Independent Armenia to have long life. I also wish the standard of living were in a high level for that each family celebrates this holiday. I am thrilled, happy, inspired and obliged,’ said Azat Gasparyan, actor of RA National Academic Theatre after G. Sundukyan, who was awarded with the rank of ‘RA People’s Artist’.
After the award ceremony the awardees congratulated one another and had their photo with the President taken.
