Yervand Bozoyan: “Adoption of the referendum of constitutional amendments in Turkey is positive from the viewpoint of profits of Armenia”

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS: The adoption of the referendum of constitutional amendments in Turkey is positive from the viewpoint of profits of Armenia, political specialist Yervand Bozoyan told Armenpress, adding that referendum “conducted a very important line” in Turkey’s history, as the risk of military revolutions essentially reduced in that country. “I do not think that these changes will in near future influence on regulation process of Armenian-Turkish relations,” the political specialist noted, adding that the competitors of Prime Minister Recep Erdogan – the nationalists and kemali, are political forces with even more anti-Armenian moods.

Mr. Bozoyan said that if a coalition government is formed in Turkey as a result of the 2011 parliamentary elections, it will show that the country is divided into two parts. “The part finds that the rights of civil society must be expanded, and the other part finds that it will bring to collapse of the country,” he stressed, saying that “Turkey is a historical experience”, that is, “a secular and Islamic country at the same time”.
