Programs on preservation of Armenian identity with participation of Diaspora-Armenian students

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS: The newly designed council of Diaspora students intends to implement numerous programs and projects by the end of the year. Chairman of the council Samvel Mkoyan told Armenpress that the meetings with the first year Diaspora students will continue, as well as a website will open with information about Armenian higher educational establishments. It will help Diaspora Armenian applicants to get right orientation in choice of future profession.
The Council of Diaspora Students also cooperates with the Association of Youth Organizations of World Armenian Congress, particularly within “Let’s recognize the countries where Armenians live” program. Within the frameworks of the program of “Let’s recognize our Homeland” a number of familiarization visits to Armenia will be implemented. Mr. Mkoyan said that one of the activity forms of the council is formation of student clubs, and there are certain programs on this, too.
“All the programs implemented by us are patriotic and are directed toward maintenance and appraisal of merits. The ideas of our programs develop as a result of common meetings and discussions, the best ones are drafted and brought to life.
