Rafik Petrosyan, “A ridiculous resolution has been presented at the U.N. General Assembly by Azerbaijan”

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: A ridiculous resolution has been presented at the U.N. General Assembly by Azerbaijan, member of the NA Armenian Republican Party faction Rafik Petrosyan stated at today’s press conference, referring to the draft resolution of “The situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan” to be brought up for discussion in the 64th plenary session of the UN General Assembly September 7.

In her turn Secretary of NA “Heritage” faction Larisa Alaverdyan said that the UN is a political organization and we must not underestimate the political consequences of the decisions adopted by that body. “That resolution has no legal power, hence it represents nothing. That resolution has no value even if it is adopted,” Mr. Petroyan said in response to Mrs. Alaverdyan.

Mrs. Alaverdyan said we must assume such a policy, thanks to which there will be no “dangerous formulation” for Armenia even in documents with political resonance. Mrs. Petrosyan once again called the public to ignore and give no significance to the resolution.
