Armenian team in 2nd place of international handball tournament for Armenian Prime Minister’s Cup

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: The second international handball tournament for Prime Minister’s Cup was ceremonially closed September 4 in Vanadzor with participation of Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

The Belarusian team was recognized winner. Armenia occupied the second place, the third and fourth places were occupied by the Iranian and Georgian teams respectively. Armenian Prime Minister expressed gratitude to all the teams for a beautiful game and noted that the tournament has really succeeded.

According to him, it will give new impetus to spread of the handball in the Republic of Armenia. Chairman of the International Handball Federation Hasan Mustafa considered the tournament consolidated, too, and expressed confidence that there are prerequisites for developing this sport style in Armenia.

Within the visit to Vanadzor Tigran Sargsyan visited “Gloria” factory of “Darbinyan” LLC, walked around getting acquainted with products. Director of the factory Bagrat Darbinyan said the product volumes vary from 2 thousand to 3 thousand per day. The row material is imported from Italy, which is considered to be its consumer together with Germany. Five hundred workers work currently in the factory, whose number, according to the director, can reach 800-1000 at the end of the year.
