Azg – The forensic medical conclusion of the demised soldier is unclear
The forensic medical conclusion of the soldier Artak Nazaryan who died July 27 in one of the regiments of Tavush province is the following – the nature of death is uncertain. It is described that Artak got head gun wound – with damaged brain, sharp distortion of vital functions of the brain. Registering all this, the forensic doctor failed to make simple conclusion whether the death occurred as a result of the gun wound which according to the independent experts, has a resource of being forwarded as an official hypothesis. The press has already written that traces of violence have been found on different parts of the body of Artak: different experts do not exclude that Artak could have died of beating and an imitation of suicide was created or may be the officer was forced to commit suicide. There is a hope that the final forensic medical conclusion will bring some certainty to the case.
Capital – Russia consolidates position in the new nuclear plant
Armenia and Russia expand the legal-normative field of the new nuclear power unit which is being built on the platform of Metsamor nuclear plant. Yesterday the Armenian government approved the draft agreement on “Cooperation between the governments of Armenia and Russia on building new nuclear power units in the territory of Armenia”.
The content of the document shows that all the statements that the new nuclear unit may be built by consortium with applying of technologies of three nuclear power schools (Russian, European and American) are not today so actual. The agreement says that the client of the produced electricity by it and owner will be Armenian-Russian “Metsamorenergoatom” company and the chief contractor Russian “Atomstroyexport” (subsidiary to “Rosatom”). According to the content of the document, it may be concluded that in the new nuclear plant not only Russian but equipment of other foreign companies may be applied but it is necessary to take into consideration that the new nuclear unit will be built using the water-cooled reactor AEK-92 the power of which is 1060 megawatt and the time of exploitation 60 years. March 26 2010 a contract was signed between Armenian Energy and Natural Resources Ministry and Russian “Rosatom” state company on installing AEK-92 nuclear unit’s “nuclear isle” devices.
Aravot – Shahsuvaryan dismissed from the office
During these days Seyran Shahsuvaryan has been dismissed from the office of the spokesman for the Armenian Defense Minister. He is replaced by Mushegh Avetisyan. Shahsuvaryan is currently the chief editor of “Zinvor” (“Soldier”) official daily. Before this appointment, Mushegh Avetisyan was working in the press department of the ministry.
