President Serzh Sargsyan sends message of condolences on the occasion of the demise of Academician Emil Gabrielian

YEREVAN, JULY 22, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a message of condolences on the occasion of the demise of Academician Emil Gabrielian. Presidential press office told Armenpress that the message runs:

“I learned with great sorrow the news on the demise of the celebrated pharmacologist, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Director of the Agency for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Technologies at the RA Ministry of Health, member of the Public Council Emil Gabrielian.

Emil Gabrielian made a significant contribution to the area of pharmacology, advancing in particular, research of the medicated regulation of blood circulation. He also made a profound input in the area of health care administration in Armenia. His skills of a leader were manifested at their best during his tenure as the Rector of the Yerevan Medical Institute and Minister of Health of Armenia. Dedicated service of E. Gabrielian allowed to provide the survivors of 1988 earthquake with the uninterrupted medical services. In addition to the medical works, Emil Gabrielian was also an active public figure, whose actions were aimed at the strengthening of our state and development of our society.

In these difficult times, I express my sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Emil Gabrielian.”
