The NKR Vaghuhas village to have school

YEREVAN, JULY 9, ARMENPRESS: The two-storey school building in Vaghuhas of Martakert region in Nagorno Karabakh, designed for 240 students, is envisaged to complete in March 2011. An official from the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund told Armenpress that it will also serve the nearby Khnkavan community children.

Sponsored by the Government of Nagorno Karabakh, businessman Samvel Aleksanyan and number of benefactors the Vaghuahas School building is the biggest construction initiative in Vaghuhas.

The residents are mainly occupied in farming, animal husbandry and bee-keeping. Some 71 residents out of 680 have employment with the mineral processing complex in the neighboring Drmbon village.

There is a nice 7th century chapel in the village and the St.Virgin church is currently being built.
