Armenian FM: The international community must express a clear stance over the Azerbaijani actions

YEREVAN, JUNE 25, ARMENPRESS: The international community must express a clear stance over the Azerbaijani actions against Karabakh so that these actions will not be encouraged only but an impression will not be created that the international community may allow or treat with understanding such encroachments and military approaches and stances, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan said today at a joint press conference with his Austrian counterpart Michael Spindelegger.

According to him, - not to encourage those making warlike rhetoric, those rejecting the agreement over ceasefire regime, those who are refusing to withdraw snipers from the contact line, those who are organizing provocations and are openly making attempts to fail the negotiations over Karabakh issue - it is more correct to mention in the statements the names of the responsible.

“It is clear that the statements of the international community relate to Azerbaijan as Armenia is not voicing warlike rhetoric, Armenia has not organized this provocation on the border, Armenia has not rejected the suggestion of ceasefire regime and withdrawal of snipers. The calls of the international community first of all are addressed to Azerbaijan, and they may show a yellow card to that country. Azerbaijan is trying openly give a religious color to the issue which is very dangerous. It tries to involve in this issue the Islamic countries,” Nalbandyan said.
