The intrusion of the Azerbaijani intelligence group into the NKR territory is provocation

YEREVAN, JUNE 23, ARMENPRESS: Iran excludes the restart of war in the South Caucasus, considering that the intrusion of the Azerbaijani intelligence group into the NKR territory is a provocation, Iranian ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saghayan said today at a meeting with the reporters.

“Within the framework of the Minsk group peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict is possible, and we exclude the possibility of war in this region,” he said.

Seyed Ali Saghayan referred also to the USA-Iran relations, noting that Iran is fighting against the establishment of overpower of the USA. “The USA wants to have influence on all the countries rich in oil or having economic potential. We will not allow the USA treat Iran like it treated Iraq or other states,” the ambassador said, adding that Iran is a democratic state and wants to implement nuclear energy development program only in peaceful ways. According to him, many countries have already approved that Iran’s nuclear program is of peaceful nature.
