STEPANAKERT, MAY 27, ARMENPRESS: On May 26 at 18.00 pm, the Central Electoral Commission of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic has publicized the final results of the parliamentary elections held May 23 in Artsakh.
Before the publication of the results Sergey Nasibyan, chairman of the NKR Central Electoral Commission, noted that the elections have been organized on a high level, equal conditions have been provided for all the candidates.
Referring to publication of the final information in a three day period according to NKR “Electoral Code”, S. Nasibyan noted that all the protocols on elections have been received in the timeframe defined by law, and the Central Electoral Commission has already summed up the final results.
According to the results of the Central Electoral Commission, the 66 thousand 771 out of the 98 thousand 518 electors involved in the electoral roll have participated in the voting. The leader by the proportional system is “Azat Hayrenik” party headed by NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan. Twenty-nine thousand 252 electors have voted for it (46, 4 %). The Artsakh Democratic Party, the head of which is the current NKR NA speaker Ashot Gulyan, is in the second place with 18 thousand 017 votes (28.6 %). The next party is the Armenian Revolutionary Federation with 12 thousand 525 votes (20.2 %). The NKR Communist Party has not managed to overcome the threshold of 6 %.
According to the final information published by the NKR Central Electoral Commission, “Azat Hayrenik” party has received the 14 out of the 33 mandates of the NKR newly-elected parliament, “Artsakh Democratic Party has received 7 mandates and the ARF – 6.
