Winners of First Semifinal of “Eurovision 2010” Known

YEREVAN, MAY 26, ARMENPRESS: The winners of the first semifinal of “Eurovision 2010” international song contest are already known. Representatives of 17 countries came forward in “Telenor Arena” of Oslo May 25. The winners have been determined as a result of SMS votes and the points given by the jury.
The representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Russia, Greece, Portugal, Belarus, Serbia, Belgium, Albania and Iceland have passed to the final of “Eurovision 2010”. Estonia, Slovakia, Finland, Latvia, Poland, Malta and Macedonia have not gathered enough points.
The second semifinal will take place May 27, again with participation of representatives of 17 countries. Ten out of them will be selected, who will come forward in the final to be held May 29. The representatives of France, Germany, Spain and the Great Britain will join the winners of the semifinal in the final round.
The mentioned countries come forward only in the final, as they are the organizers of the contest. Norway is considered the winner of “Eurovision 2009, hence the representative of that country will perform only in the final.
Eva Rivas who represents Armenia will come forward in the second semifinal under the number 2. Today she will participate in two main rehearsals; one more rehearsal is expected May 27 in the morning.
