Armenian Delegation to Leave for Oslo May 17 to Participate in “Eurovision 2010” Contest

YEREVAN, MAY 10, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian delegation will leave for Oslo on May 17 to participate in “Eurovision 2010” contest. Diana Mnatsakanyan, Consultant of the Public TV on Special Projects, told Armenpress that the official opening of “Eurovision 2010” international song contest is intended on May 23, but the rehearsals will start from May 18.
According to her, quite a full graphic is intended in Oslo; meetings with journalists, visits to historical-cultural sites will be held. In response to the question whether the issue of participation of world famous duduk player Jivan Gasparyan is specified, D. Mnatsakanyan said it is not clear yet.
Armenian representative of “Eurovision” Eva Rivas will come forward with her “Apricot Stone” song in the second semi-final of the contest, on May 27 and will perform under the 2nd number.
Lithia will be the first to perform, then Armenia, Israel, Dania, Switzerland, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Rumania, Slovenia Ireland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Georgia and at the end Turkey will follow. The final round will take place on May 29.
