An exhibition of photos dedicated to Great Patriotic War to open in Yerevan History Museum

YEREVAN, APRIL 13, ARMENPRESS: An exhibition of photos entitled “The Patriotic War in Yerevan Monuments” and dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War will open on April 14 in Yerevan History Museum. Director of the museum Armine Sargsyan told Armenpress that about 70 photos both contemporary and taken before will be exhibited.

According to A. Sargsyan, the exhibition will convey a lot of information; the photos of all the monuments dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and of all the busts of war heroes will be presented. The exhibition will be open in the foyer for one week, after which the photos will be moved into another hall and visitors will have an opportunity of watching them till May.

This is already the second exhibition in Yerevan History Museum within the frameworks of the events dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War. The official opening of the first exhibition of photos entitled “Diaspora in the Years of World War II” was held in March. Another exhibition entitled “Yerevan in the Years of World War II” will be conducted on May 5.
