Heghine Bisharyan: “The inner and foreign policy carried out by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan is highly praised”

YEREVAN, APRIL 9, ARMENPRESS: The inner and foreign policy carried out by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan is highly praised, head of the Orinats Yerkir party’s parliamentary faction Heghine Bisharyan said today evaluating the work of the president on the occasion of the second anniversary of his office.

“During this period the tensed political situation in the country has been smoothed. The foreign policy conducted by the president is peaceful and stable which is also praiseworthy. As a result of all this a great progress has been registered in Armenia’s foreign policy as compared with the previous years,” Bisharyan said.

Member of the Orinats Yerkir faction Hovhannes Margaryan said that in conditions of global economic crisis on the initiative of the president issues of the disaster zone are being solved which demands quite big resources. “Only last year in Gyumri 1000 apartments have been built and the same is done this year too. Deposits are being returned. The constructive and initiative policy carried out by the President Serzh Sargsyan is highly praised by the international community as well,” Margaryan said.

Member of the ARF faction Artsvik Minasyan said as compared with 2008 the tensed situation in the country is currently smoothed. In his opinion it is also the result of amnesty applied by the president of the republic.

Member of the “Prosperous Armenia” party Naira Zohrabyan said she highlights the initiative foreign policy of Serzh Sargsyan “as a result of which the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations launched which was not finding its solution for many years. For reaching it, it was necessary to have political will which was displayed by the President of Armenia.” Zohrabyan noted that within the framework of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict regulation Armenian president pointed out his approach according to which the conflict must be regulated only in case of NK self-determination and consent of the Artsakh people.

Head of the Armenian Republican Party’s faction Galust Sahakyan said previously Armenia managed to carry out enough work for establishing diplomatic ties and today it is participating in the process of solution of challenges the international community is facing.

“There is no serious international process in which Armenia’s issue are not the first ones. It is also the result of good attitude of the international community toward the President of Armenia,” G. Sahakyan said. Speaking about inner political issues he noted that today the country is in the round of stabilization which is an important guarantee for the country’s development.
