Crew of next long-term ISS expedition launched from Baikonur

BAIKONUR (Kazakhstan), APRIL 2, ARMENPRESS: Another crew of the International Space Station (ISS) was blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome on Russia’s Soyuz space ship at 08:04, Moscow time, Friday.

The Soyuz TMA-18 spacecraft will take to the ISS the crew of the next long-term expedition – Russian cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov, Mikhail Korniyenko and NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson who will work in orbit for about six months.

The docking of the Soyuz TMA-18 with the ISS is scheduled for April 4.
