Armen Rustamyan: “It is obvious that Turkey awes from the recognition of the Armenian genocide”

YEREVAN, MARCH 5, ARMENPRESS: The process of adoption of the H. Res. 252 by the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs was quite difficult and the result expectable, ARF Supreme Body representative Armen Rustamyan said today at the meeting with the reporters. According to him, it is obvious that Turkey awes from the recognition of the Armenian genocide and this process is a serious pressure on Turkey.
“Yes, success has been registered but it is painful that with the bloody page in the history of Armenia an attempt is being made to exert pressure on Turkey. The Armenian Genocide is a reality and sooner or later the world must recognize it,” A. Rustamyan said.
According to him, the speeches of congressmen must be seriously analyzed by the Armenian side to point out the further steps. Rustamyan said the Armenian side is not using its whole potential in the Genocide recognition process. He called to unite and act with the whole strength. Only in that case, he said, there is a possibility to put the Genocide issue on the agenda of the House of Representatives.
