RA boxing national tournament starts

YEREVAN, JANUARY 27, ARMENPRESS: RA boxing national tournaments started today at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. RA Boxing Federation Chairman, RA National Olympic Committee Deputy Chairman Derenik Gabrielyan who had the honor to officially announce the beginning of the tournaments, delivered a welcoming speech before the participants and the guests, wished the sportsmen and their trainers interesting matches and reminded how famous boxing had been and what results it had showed in Armenia.

D. Gabrielyan emphasized the importance of RA boxing national tournaments as a fundamental competition which will have a good effect on establishing Armenian national boxing team. The best 100 boxers of Armenia are participating in the tournaments that will end on January 31, 2010 – the day when the last matches will take place. For the tournaments winners a fund of notable money awards and special prizes are available.
