YEREVAN, DEECMBER 26, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian wrestlers have not yet revealed themselves wholly and must prove that in pre-Olympic tournaments, RA State Coach Lyova Vardanyan told Armenpress. According to him, the Armenian team of Greco-Roman style wrestling has won in 2009 the world bronze medals, Arsen Julfakyan (74 kg) and Yuri Patrikev (120 kg) have become champions of Europe, Roman Amoyan (55 kg) have won the honorary title of the world vice-champion. According to the coach, this comes to witness that the Greco-Roman style wrestlers will have even greater achievements in the next tournament. According to L. Vardanyan, this year free style wrestlers are more modest, the bronze medal of Edgar Yenokyan (96 kg) which he ahs won in the world championship, as well as the medals of the European championship cannot satisfy the expectations of athletes and fans. The coach said that a huge work is being carried out in this direction. The Armenian wrestlers will participate not only in the championship of the world and Europe, but in a number of reputation tournaments as well. L. Vardanyan underscored that the wrestling is a sport style which develops and changes dynamically, and the competition here is very high.
