The office of the Armenian honorary consul opened in Bishkek

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 26, ARMENPRESS:In Bishkek, in the White Hall of Kyrgyz government, Armenian Ambassador Vasili Ghazaryan handed his credentials to Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev. Media and information department of Armenian Foreign Affairs Ministry told Armenpress that Armenia-Kyrgyzstan relations and the prospects of their development were discussed at the conversation followed the credential- handing ceremony. Congratulating Ambassador Ghazaryan on the appointment, President Bakiev noted that the active cooperation of the two countries within the frameworks of CIS, CSTO and other organizations creates positive prerequisites for the development of the interrelations. Both sides pointed out the necessity of the development and deepening of bilateral economic cooperation and of the conduction of high level mutual visits. On the same day Ambassador Ghazaryan handed the copies of the credentials to Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kadirbek Sarbaev. Agenda issues concerning Armenia-Kyrgyzstan relations were referred at the meeting. The official opening of the office of the Armenian honorary consul in Kyrgyzstan was held October 22 in Bishkek. Many guests came to congratulate Armenian Consul Petros Shahinyan. Kyrgyz Deputy Minister Ermek Ibraimov, Head of Protocol Ceremony of Foreign Ministry Seyt Ubukeev, Armenian ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, representatives of legislative, executive bodies of the country, as well as of local Armenian communities took part in the event.
