ETCHMIADZIN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received today Russian ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko. An official from the Holy See of St. Etchmiadzin told Armenpress that greeting the newly appointed ambassador in the spiritual center of Armenia, the Catholicos wished success to Kovalenko in his mission, expressing hope that during his tenure the relations between the two friendly peoples will become more close and consoli`date`d. His Holiness also referred to the warm and brotherly relations between the Armenian Apostolic Church and Russian Orthodox Church. The ambassador thanked the Catholicos for warm reception and wishes and referred to the Armenian-Russian ties and future programs of the embassy.
