DAY OF THE CIVIL SOCIETY TO BE CELEBRATED IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:The celebration of the Day of the Civil Society will for the first `time` be marked September 19 in the Yerevan municipality. An official from the Civil Development and Cooperation Foundation which is the initiator of the event told Armenpress that for the first `time` in Armenia the local organizations join to celebrate the Day of the Civil Society putting the cornerstone of establishment of a new tradition and contributing to the spread and development of the idea of civil society among the Armenian residents. The event is also an opportunity for different sections to combine and to find new cooperation ways to the benefit of the development of the civil institute in Armenia. Nearly 1000 civil society representatives including representatives of the state and international organizations, embassies, different institutions of civil society, big companies and individuals will take part in the event. The day will be marked with “The Civil Society in my Eyes” exhibition of photos, prize giving ceremony and a concert.
