YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:Presentations of new Armenian films will be held per week for 3 months from October 1 in “Moscow” cinema. The initiative is carried out by the Armenian National Film Center, “Moscow” cinema and Public Television. Director of the Armenian National Film Center Gevorg Gevorgyan noted at today’s press conference that the center annually produces several full- screen, short-screen, animation and documentary films, which remain unavailable for the Armenian spectator. This initiative will enable the Armenians during the periodic broadcastings of the films to get acquainted with the native film production. S. Babayan’s “Do not look at the mirror”, H. Hakhverdyan’s “Looking for Narekatsi”, Hovh. Galstyan’s “Mingled Parallels”, V. Khachatryan’s “Welcome”, H. Khachatryan’s “B`order`” and other films are included in the film presentations. Programs on cartoons, documentary, short-length and debut films will be presented as well. After each premier the given film will be broadcasted for some period of `time` in cinema halls. The new films will be available to the spectator with more accessible prices. In near future the Armenian films produced in the last two years will be broadcasted by the Public television and some `time` later – by other TV channels as well. According to G. Gevorgyan, on the initiative of the Film Center showings of Armenian films will be held already for the second `time` in the Armenian provinces, in Artsakh and in different military units as well. Currently the Cinema Center intends film showings in Stepanakert, Kashatagh and Sisian. The India’s 40-th international film festival will take place in near future in the town of Goa, in which Armenia will participate as well. Albert Mkrtchyan’s “The dawn of the sad street” film has been included in the “World Film” program of the festival, and Vigen Chaldranyan’s “Priestess” will participate in “Asia Pacific Screen Awards” award-giving ceremony.
