SEVENTEEN PAN-ARMENIAN EVENTS PLANED FOR 2008

YEREVAN, MARCH 25, ARMENPRESS:Jivan Movsisyan, chief of a foreign ministry’s agency dealing with ties with Diaspora, told Armenpress that the bulk of pan-Armenian events planed for this year will feature culture. He said overall 17 pan-Armenian events are planned for 2008. Thus, the third One Nation-One Culture festival is planned for August. Among other events are the 4th congress of Armenian writers, the pan-Armenian educational conference on July 7-10. Armenian dentists from around the world will gather in Yerevan in October. Conventions featuring agricultural problems, architecture will be also held this year. IT international forum will be in September. Jivan Movsisyan He said the justice ministry proposed that Armenian lawyers from Diaspora convene in Yerevan for their maiden gathering. He said the year is expected to enhance and deepen Armenia-Diaspora relationships.
