CANADA HAS NEW MILITARY ATTACHÉ IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JANUARY 30, ARMENPRESS:Armenian defense ministry said Canada’s honorary consul to Armenia, Artashes Emin, introduced today Colonel Michel Markos, Canada’s new military attaché in Armenia., to minister Mikael Harutunian. A spokesman for the defense ministry, Seyran Shahsuvarian, said the main subject of the conversation were reforms in Armenian armed forces, particularly, introduction of civil positions in the army, civic supervision over the army and ways to keep it away from political processes. They also discussed regional and security issues, Shahsuvarian said.
