UNDP AND NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EMPLOYMENT SIGN GENDER EQUALITY AGREEMENT

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS:Consuelo Vidal, UNDP Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia and Gyulnara Hovhanesian, head of the National Institute of Employment and Social Research of the Armenian labor and social affairs ministry, signed today an agreement on encouraging gender equality and rise of women’s role in the country. The National Institute is responsible for drafting the gender and human rights policies and for making related researches and conducting training courses. Consuelo Vidal said after the signing ceremony that the agreement gives an opportunity to carry out thorough studies across the country which will help draft appropriate policies.
