YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS:Armenian foreign minister Vartan Oskanian said today the construction of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline was over, but added that it was being still tested. Speaking to a news conference he said the Iranian side has promised to accomplish the testing as soon as possible. He said the official opening of the pipeline is likely to take place before next March. Oskanian said no decision was made yet on involvement of Russian-Armenian ARG company in the management of the pipeline. Oskanian said the most rational decision is to hand the pipeline to the company’s management. He said it would be meaningless to set up a new company to run the pipeline since ARG is the one that tackles all related issues and has gained significant experience in running such facilities.
