GOVERNMENT TO RELEASE MONEY VISUALLY AND HEARING IMPAIRED PEOPLE

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS:Beginning from 2007 visually and hearing impaired people will be eligible to free of charge eye prosthesis and voice creating devices. Jemma Baghdasarian, an official of the employment and social affairs ministry in charge of senior and disabled people, said the government will release 35 million drams for purchase of voice creating devices and eye operations. She said the government will also release 12 million Drams for printing of special books for children with poor vision. According to the ministry, there are 8,300 children below 18 with different disabilities.
