ST. CROSS CHURCH TO RE-OPEN ON APRIL 24

ANKARA, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:Turkish culture and tourism minister Atilla Koch stated that after the reconstruction the opening of the St. Cross Church of the Van’s Akhtamar Island will take place on April 24 – on the memorial day of the Armenian genocide. According to Turkish Hurriyet, Koch stated about it during the discussions of the budget at the parliament. The newspaper wrote that the opening day was at first appointed on November 4 but it was postponed because of unfavorable weather.
