ARMENIAN NA SPEAKER WRAPS UP HIS VISIT TO INDIA

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:The Armenian National Assembly Speaker Tigran Torosian wrapped up his official visit to India on December 16 which was the first visit of Armenian NA speaker to India in the history of Indian-Armenian bilateral relations. Armenian Foreign Ministry press service told Armenpress that during the visit the speaker met with the chairmen of the two houses of parliament, leader of opposition, foreign minister, chief minister of Deli, head and members of the parliament’s foreign relations commission. During the meetings the sides discussed a wide-range of issues on developing and expanding inter-parliamentary and inter-state relations. They also pointed out the spheres where an effective cooperation may be carried out. They also pointed out the high level of cooperation within the frameworks of international organizations as well as underscored the importance of conduction of the session of the Armenian-Indian inter-governmental commission in early 2007.
