ARMENIA AND IRAN SWAP ONE BILLION KW/H ELECTRICITY

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:Armenia and Iran have swapped this year over 1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, energy minister Armen Movsisian said, adding that the doubled volume of power exchanged by the two countries was due to the construction of the second transmission line. He said construction of the third transmission line will allow to make Armenia a crossroad of electricity swaps. Movsisian said construction of the third Armenia-Georgia power line will start next year. He said this power line will be 400 kilovolt powerful.
