EXHIBITION OF WORKS OF YOUNG ARMENIAN PHOTOGRAPHERS KICKS OFF

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:The first competition-exhibition of photo-art kicked off today at the Yerevan People’s Art Museum. Young people from all the Armenian provinces, students of Yerevan State University participate in the exhibition which presents overall 116 works. Organizer of the exhibition, YSU professor Sahak Troyan said the main aim of the exhibition is to show the public how fast photography is developing in our country. “Of course it is too early to speak of professionalism of our young photographers, but this may be considered one of the greatest achievements of the year in photography and this branch of art will have great future in Armenia,” Troyan said. According to him, the 21st century is full of modern and high-quality technology which will on its turn support the development of this sphere of art. The exhibition will last until December 21. The authors of best works will be awarded prizes.
