KECHOUT RESERVOIR SET FOR MAJOR REPAIR

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS:One of the biggest Kechout water reservoirs in Armenia is set to be reconstructed next year. The repair of the reservoir, located in Vayots Dzor province is part of a major World Bank-supported dam safety program. The capacity of the reservoir is 25 million cubic meters of water. It was last repaired in early 1980-s. The repair scheme was approved by a commission of Armenia’s nature protection ministry.
