TURKISH MUSICIANS ORGANIZES DAYS OF ARMENIAN MUSIC IN U.S.A.

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS:Days of Armenian Music will be held next year in New York state of the United States of America. This event was initiated and is being steered by a Turkish piano player Atakan Mari. The musician told Armenpress that the concerts of Armenian music will be held in New York’s Corneil University together with its orchestra. It will play both classical and modern Armenian music. A prominent American composer Martin Berkovski and musical groups from Armenia will also participate. Speaking to Armenpress the Turkish pianist said she was familiar with Armenian music long before. She said 18 months ago Turkish musicians organized a concert of Armenian composers’ music which was aired also by Turkish television.
