ARMENIAN BOXING TEAMS COMES FOURTH

YEREVAN, AUGUST 12, ARMENPRESS:Edgar Manukian from Armenian Gyumri won the gold medal at Europe°s Junior Boxing Championship in Ukrainian Lviv. Manukian, who is in the 54 kg weight category, beat in the final Eduard Hambardzumian (former resident of Yerevan) from Russia. Samvel Matevosian (67 kg) from Vanadzor and Vardan Grigorian (71 kg) from Yerevan won bronze medals each. Another five Armenian boxers were the fifth in their weight categories. All in all out of 9 Armenian boxers 8 were placed in the first fifth. This brought Armenia°s team to the honorable fourth standing among other 35 national teams.-0-/39/
