YEREVAN, JULY 23, ARMENPRESS:The leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church Diocese in the Southern Russia Bishop Movses Movsesian told a July 22 news conference that °construction of Armenian churches in the southern Russia is flourishing and expanding.° He said an Armenian church in the town of Slavyansk, Krasnodar province, is supposed to be consecrated in early autumn, a little later, in November, will be consecrated another Armenian church in the city of Pyatigorsk (Stavropol province). Approximately, at that time yet another Armenian church will be anointed in Maykop and by the end of the year the Armenian church in Tenginka near Tuapse on the Black Sea coast will welcome the faithful. The Yekramas newspaper of the Southern Armenians writes that new churches will also be built in Stavropol and Daghestan. Also an old Armenian church in Daghestan will be restored. A land plot allocated for construction of an Armenian church in Sochi is expected to be blessed later this year. Also the headquarters of the Diocese will have its own building in Krasnodar.
