Armenian Basketball Federation President Artur Nazaryan has held a video call with FIBA Europe President Jorge Garbajosa.
The discussion covered a range of issues concerning the development of Armenian basketball, the expansion of international cooperation and upcoming programmes.
Garbajosa praised the Armenian Basketball Federation’s active involvement in European basketball and the work it is carrying out.
Nazaryan presented programmes aimed at developing school and youth basketball in Armenia, as well as the upcoming activities and objectives of Armenia’s national teams across different age groups. The discussion also addressed the organisation of international tournaments in Armenia.
In particular, Nazaryan reaffirmed Yerevan’s readiness to host one of the European youth championships again in 2027. At the end of the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing to develop cooperation between the Armenian Basketball Federation and FIBA Europe.
