Gagik Tsarukyan’s detention extended by three months

The detention of Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan has been extended by three months.

The court’s decision was announced a short while ago.

Emin Khachatryan, a member of Tsarukyan’s legal team, said they would appeal against the decision.

Tsarukyan has been in custody since 7 July 2026.

He has been charged with particularly large-scale fraud and money laundering. A charge of tax evasion was subsequently added.
