An Armenian servicemember has been found shot dead, the Defense Ministry has said.
The body of the servicemember, identified only by the initials A. Gh., was found with a gunshot wound at a military unit on October 10, the ministry said.
Aram Torosyan, spokesperson for the Armenian defense ministry, said in a Facebook post that the servicemember’s family had been notified in accordance with next-of-kin notification procedures.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident, he said.
