Mher Grigoryan highlights World Bank’s contribution to Armenia’s development programmes

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan discussed progress on programmes implemented with the World Bank alongside the bank’s Regional Director Rolande Pryce and representatives of the Armenian government and the World Bank.

According to the Armenian government, the deputy prime minister highlighted the bank’s contribution to Armenia’s development programmes, emphasising the effectiveness of continued cooperation across all strategic areas.

The two sides exchanged views on the performance of ongoing loan and grant programmes, with a total value of approximately US$818 million.

The current programmes cover energy, water, healthcare, the modernisation of state systems and tourism.

The two sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue strategic cooperation in implementing ongoing programmes and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
