Child survives fall from tenth floor in China

A three-year-old boy has survived a fall from the tenth floor of a building in Guiyang, south-western China, the Sina news portal reported.

“A three-year-old boy accidentally fell from the tenth floor of a building in Guiyang. Fortunately, his fall was broken by the awning of a fruit shop below,” the report said.

According to the portal, the boy was bleeding from his mouth and nose after the fall but remained conscious and even smiled at passers-by. He was taken to hospital, where no fractures or internal injuries were found.

The shop’s awning was damaged, but the owner did not seek compensation.
