Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence Davit Tadevosyan received a delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Armenia on September 25, led by EU Ambassador to Armenia and Head of the EU Delegation Vassilis Maragos.
According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence, the sides discussed the further development of Armenia-EU cooperation in high technologies, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and cybersecurity.
They discussed opportunities for exporting Armenian high-tech products and digital services to the European market. The importance of expanding cooperation on access to European markets, standards and certification processes for Armenian companies was emphasised.
The sides discussed prospects for Armenia-EU cooperation in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. In particular, they addressed opportunities for Armenia to integrate into the European research and computing ecosystem, implement joint AI projects and connect Armenia’s technological and human potential with European partners.
The meeting also addressed progress in the implementation of CEPA, as well as issues related to cybersecurity, the protection of critical infrastructure and the development of secure digital connectivity.
